Haussmann's compositions are built up layer by layer using varied hues and imagery. Organic forms, lines, and gestures transcend his textured fields of color, offering a glimpse of what lies beneath the surface. His paintings, though decidedly abstract, represent his concern for the fragility of the natural world and are filled with lush color found in nature.
